National Express West Midlands 50 vs Diamond 50

50 is one of the busiest bus routes in the West Midlands running from Birmingham to Druids Heath which are operated by National Express West Midlands and Diamond. This bus route is know for having first low floor double decker buses which were introduced on the number 50 in 19999 but this route has also been known for vandalism due to areas the 50 bus serves.

National Express West Midlands runs to this frequency
Every Hour Early Mornings(Birmingham to Maypole Only)
Every 4 Minutes Monday to Saturday Daytime
Every 7 minutes Sundays
Every 15 minutes in the evenings

Diamond buses run between Birmingham and Maypole On Monday to Friday basis then On Sundays, runs between Birmingham and Druids Heath.
Every 10 Minutes Monday to Saturday Daytime
Every 15 Minutes Sunday Daytime
No Evening Journeys

This bus route is a very popular bus route for many years and many people choose this bus route for the frequency and the convenience of having plenty of busy but congestion is a big cause on this bus route especially during peak hours and on Saturdays. This bus route has also been the worst bus route for vandalism and criminal offences with 200 police call outs being made on the bus between 2014-2017 which means 50 route is top spot for Most crime hit bus route in the West Midlands which is nearly as bad as travelling by train.

Luckily nowadays new platinum buses have been introduced with National Express West Midlands which latest gadgets such as stronger CCTV which need to be included to catch the criminal and stupid people who thinks its OK to make peoples lives a living hell on the buses. These new platinum buses also include Free WIFI and USB ports which i generally think its not such a good idea because i know within a few moths, they will be vandalised or broken so really don't see the point in having them when they are just going to get damaged.
Diamond use a mixture of big and small buses including mostly Plaxton Centro, Optare Solos and Wright Eclipse Urban but don't have enough CCTV camera to spot trouble makers travelling on the buses but i do think National Express West Midlands and Diamond are as bad as each other for criminal offences happening on the buses.

In my opinion, National Express West Midlands and Diamond buses run decent bus service with plenty of buses during daytime and can seat a suitable amount for passengers but both play a part in criminal offences taking place which i don't think is fair on the drivers and passengers who want to travel to and from places in one piece.
