MALVERN HILL ADVENTURE 7TH AUGUST 2020

On Friday 7th August 2020 i traveled to Malvern Hills for a day out by train. I got on the train at 07.22 train from Bromsgrove to Great Malvern(06.59 Birmingham to Hereford) train. Train only called at Droitwich Spa, Worcester Foregate Street and Malvern Link which meant that the train journey only took 30 minutes.

When i got to Great Malvern, the height between train and platform was quite high but still got off the train safely which was the main thing. Great Malvern Station has very vintage feel to it which i extremely love. I walked from Great Malvern Station to Great Malvern town which only took 10 minutes which was really good to have easy access to town centre from train station. The town centre has some shops leveled and some shops on the hills which made it even more interesting.

Before i climbed up the hills even more i sat on chair Belle Vue balcony to have a snack which i needed. Also there is a drinking water fountain situated on balcony too. After about roughly 10 minutes i started my adventurous walk up the Malvern Hills which i was excited about. I turned left at St Anns Road and i followed the path down to St Ann Well Cafe. The walk was quite steep but it was nice to have a cafe at the middle of the hill. i decided to climb up the hill and buy a snack later. There were a few benches along the walk for those who wanted to rest there legs. I also saw a few joggers and people walking up and down the hills with dogs too.

The more i climb up the hill, the more spectacular the view was as i continued to walk higher up.
It was after 40 minutes of the walk at the final part of the hill before reaching the Worcestershire beacon where it was steep but after 50 minutes of walking up the Malvern Hill i reached the Worcestershire Beacon. It was stood on cobble stone. The Worcestershire Beacon was the highest point of Malvern Hills i have ever climbed to which is 1,495 foot high. It was breezy but the view from highest point of the hill was breathtaking and stunning. I could see all towns and villages in a mini size. It felt like i was miles away from the nearest town. Also a few walkers stood at the Worcestershire Beacon too enjoying the breathtaking views that Malvern Hills has to offer. Also because the area was so spaced out, it was easy to keep 2 metres away from everyone.
After 30 minutes, i walked back down the hill which took about 40 minutes to get back down to Great Malvern Town Centre. On the way back, i stopped at St Ann Well cafe to have an americano which was really good. The walk going down just as beautiful as going up the hill. When i got back into Great Malvern town i had a look around the shops then i headed back to Great Malvern Station to catch the next train back to Bromsgrove.

Overall i love Malvern because there are plenty of shops to satisfy everyone's needs. The thing that i loved most about Malvern was climbing up the hills and getting to see spectacular views without having to travel far to do so I would recommend anyone who like to travel. Come along to adventure and see the greatness of Malvern Hill.
